Make a Difference
Join our Virtual Food Drive
The Emergency Community Food Pantry of Franklin County is launching our Fall Virtual Food Drive: Instead of giving nonperishable items, we’re asking for your financial contribution (which is also nonperishable!).
We will use your donation to purchase the food we need to fill the food requests we are receiving. We purchase in bulk, therefore receive a better price per item.
How to Participate in the Fall Virtual Food Drive:
Consider giving in these ways or in another amount that is comfortable to you:
– $10 will purchase macaroni and cheese for 5 families for a week
– $30 will purchase pasta and sauce for 15 families for a week
– $100 will purchase peanut butter for 40 families for a week
The Fall Virtual Food Drive ends on Monday, November 30.
Why a Virtual Food Drive?
While everyone loves supporting the Food Pantry through food drives, we thank you for understanding that we want to reduce the number of people handling food right now.
– In 2019, YOU helped provide a week’s worth of groceries for 10,887 neighbors
– In the first 9 months of 2020, the Food Pantry has distributed 132,950 meals helping 6,331 neighbors.
– We distribute food every weekday, except holidays, to hungry individuals and families in Franklin County.
– We are run entirely by volunteers thanks to administrative assistance from the Resource Office of Social Ministry. All donated funds help buy food or keep the freezers running.
– We rely on local faith communities, businesses, and community organizations to provide the food, funds, and volunteers needed to help our community.
If you prefer to give in a way that is not supported here or if you have questions about the Franklin County Emergency Community Food Pantry, contact us at emergencyfoodpantryfranklinco@gmail.com.
