Get Involved
Hunger is closer than you think — it’s in every neighborhood, every school, every street in Franklin County.
You can be part of the solution by giving your time, hosting a food drive, or sharing resources that help us feed local families.
Every act of kindness makes a real difference.
Sponsor a Food Drive
Hosting a food drive is one of the most powerful ways to get involved.
Gather your coworkers, church group, school, or friends to collect nonperishable foods. We will give you flyers, guidance, and help with drop off.
Small efforts, a box, a bag, or a single can, all add up to meals that feed hundreds.
Why Get Involved
When you give your time, energy, and care, you strengthen the heart of our community.
Your generosity ensures that children have meals after school, seniors do not go without, and families know they are not alone.
Together, we can build a stronger and more compassionate Franklin County, one meal at a time.
Make a Difference: Join Our Virtual Food Drive
The Emergency Community Food Pantry of Franklin County is launching our Fall Virtual Food Drive.
Instead of donating nonperishable items, we ask for your financial support so we can purchase the food we need to meet requests.
Buying in bulk allows us to stretch every dollar further and serve more families in need.
How to Participate in the Fall Virtual Food Drive:
Consider giving in these ways or in another amount that feels right to you:
$10 will purchase macaroni and cheese for five families for a week
$30 will purchase pasta and sauce for fifteen families for a week
$100 will purchase peanut butter for forty families for a week
This drive ends on Monday, November 30.
Why a Virtual Food Drive?
While food drives are wonderful, switching to a virtual model allows us to safely reduce the number of hands handling food.
In 2019, you helped provide a week’s worth of groceries to 10,887 neighbors
In the first nine months of 2020, the pantry distributed 132,950 meals helping 6,331 neighbors
We distribute food every weekday except holidays to families and individuals in Franklin County
The pantry is run entirely by volunteers with support from the Resource Office of Social Ministries. All donated funds go directly to food or to keep the freezers running
We rely on local faith communities, businesses, and civic organizations to provide the food, funds, and volunteers needed in our community
