Become a Volunteer
Join us in the fight against hunger.
At the Emergency Community Food Pantry of Franklin County, every helping hand brings food, dignity, and hope to neighbors in need. By sharing your time and energy, you help ensure that no one in Franklin County faces hunger alone.
Make an Immediate Impact
Sorting donations, packing grocery boxes, assisting during food drives, and helping prepare food for distribution are just some of the ways volunteers make a difference.
Flexible Opportunities
Individuals, families, youth groups, civic clubs, and businesses can all find meaningful ways to serve. Help once or become a regular volunteer.
Your Time Creates Real Outcomes
Every hour you give helps keep food moving to neighbors who need it and strengthens our community's response to hunger.
Would You Like To Volunteer?
Our pantry depends on people in our community who are willing to give their time. Whether you can help regularly or only occasionally, there is a way for you to make a difference.
We Need People Like You.
There are many ways to lend a hand.
Weekday Morning
Pantry Shifts
Help fill client orders, prepare immediate response bags, and assist with the day-to-day work of getting food ready for distribution.
These are our regular, set volunteer shifts and primarily take place in the mornings.
Grocery Pickup &
Delivery Support
Occasionally, volunteers are needed on weekday mornings or afternoons to pick up grocery purchases for delivery.
Volunteers help transport purchases to the food pantry and assist with unloading, shelving, and organizing food for distribution.
Weekend
Food Drives
We also have occasional weekend opportunities to support food drives. Volunteers may help with:
- Passing out shopping lists at Kroger
- Collecting and transporting donated food
- Sorting donations
- Stocking the food pantry
Your Time Makes a Difference!
Whether you can help every week or just occasionally, we welcome volunteers with a variety of schedules. Every hour you give helps us serve our neighbors and keep food moving to the people who need it.
