Why You Should Get Involved

Why spend your time with us?

You have a lot of choices about where you give your time, your money, and your energy. We want you to know why your involvement here matters.

Your time is valuable. We want it to matter.

Your involvement makes it possible for us to say yes.

When a neighbor reaches out, we want to be ready.

Why You Should Get Involved

Hunger is closer than most of us realize.

Every week, families in Franklin County turn to the Emergency Community Food Pantry for help putting food on the table.

Your involvement makes it possible for us to say yes when they reach out.

When you give your time, your donations, or your voice, you are helping to build a stronger and more compassionate community.

Our Why

We believe neighbors should show up for neighbors.

Not because we can solve every problem, but because we can do something. We can give our time. We can share what we have. We can make room for someone who needs a little help.

When enough people choose to do that together, something changes.

We become a community that takes care of its people.
Why It Matters

There are many reasons to get involved.

But these are at the heart of what your involvement makes possible.

๐Ÿ™Œ

Because Your Time Matters

Even one hour of volunteering helps feed local families. Sorting, packing, or delivering food connects you directly to the heart of our mission: neighbors helping neighbors.

Your time becomes something real.

๐Ÿ’š

Because Your Donations Stretch Farther

Every dollar donated is used to purchase high need food items in bulk, allowing us to serve more families with less. Together, we can turn a small gift into a week of meals for someone in need.

Your generosity goes farther than you may realize.

๐Ÿค

Because You Strengthen Our Community

When we come together through churches, schools, businesses, and individuals, we remind one another that no one should have to face hunger alone.

We are stronger when we do this together.

What Your Involvement Becomes

Your gift does not stop when you give it.

Your hour becomes groceries packed. Your donation becomes food on a shelf. Your food drive becomes a community coming together.

Your voice might be how someone learns that the Pantry is here.

You may never see every step between what you give and the person who receives help. But you are part of all of it.

Why Spend Your Time With Us?

Because you can see that it mattered.

At the Pantry, your work has a purpose you can see. Shelves are stocked. Groceries are packed. Donations are sorted. People are welcomed.

You will work with people who care.

Churches, schools, businesses, families, and individuals all come together here. You will meet people who believe that helping your neighbors is worth their time.

You can come as you are.

You do not have to be an expert. You do not have to know everyone. You do not have to know exactly where you fit. We can help you find your place.

What Makes Us Special

We care about the work, and we care about the people doing it.

We want volunteers, donors, and community partners to know that their contribution is appreciated and that they are welcome here.

โค๏ธ We are local. The people we serve are part of the same community we call home.
๐Ÿ™Œ Volunteers matter. People are at the heart of the work.
๐Ÿค We do this together. The Pantry works because people are willing to show up for one another.
๐Ÿ’š Dignity matters. Helping someone should never mean making them feel less than.
Your Turn

You do not have to do everything.
Just do something.

Maybe you have an hour to give. Maybe you can organize a food drive. Maybe you can make a donation. Maybe you simply want to tell someone about the Pantry.

There is no one right way to be part of this work.

Whatever you can give, there is a place for you here.
